The official jacket and identity card giving ceremony by FIAN Sri Lanka to the members of “Bandarawela Small Traders and Daily Sellers Cooperative Society” engaged in street trading in Bandarawela Municipal Council was successfully held on 14.02.2024 at Bandarawela Hillside Hotel. A group of nearly 85 street vendors joined for that.

Bandarawela Assistant Divisional Secretary and Acting Municipal Secretary Mrs. Samanmali Kumuduni was the chief guest and the Chief Revenue Inspector and Assistant Revenue Inspector of Bandarawela Municipal Council also participated. Also, Mrs. Anuradhi Perera, Senior Program Officer of The Asia Foundation and Mr. Shaveendra Senarath, Program Officer also participated in the event. Mr. Thilak Kariyawasam (Executive Director of FIAN Sri Lanka) also commented there.
