A medical clinic was held in Haputale on 03.09.2024 with the aim of checking the health status of the street vendors in Haputale and providing them with a certificate to confirm their health. Street traders from Haputale areas participated in this. The medical examination and blood test reports of the mobile trading community who participated on that day were considered and certified by the Haputale Health Medical Officer. Bandarawela Health Medical Officer Mr. Lakshanth Weerasekera, Haputale Divisional Secretary and Haputale Public Health Inspectors, Dehiwala-MountLavinia Public Health Inspector Mr. Gemunu Saliya Perera also participated. FIAN Sri Lanka Executive Director Mr. Thilak Kariyawasam and other officials also participated in it. The convener of “National Hawkers Federation” of India Mr. Ibrahim Baqri also participated in this event.
