The Galle district program to launch the report related to the findings of the survey conducted through the investigation program on household food security conducted under the project “Bolstering Civil Society” was successfully held 15th of January at the District Secretariate Office Auditorium, Galle.
Galle District Governor/District Secretary W. A. Mr. Dharmasiri, Assistant District Secretary Mr. Nalinda Udaya Kumara also participated and gave their views.
It was implemented by FIAN Sri Lanka with the support of Pact and The Asia Foundation-led USAID-funded Bolstering Civil Society (BCS) Activity awarded under CSM-STAND.
This survey was conducted in 2024 covering 20 Divisional Secretariat Divisions in 10 selected districts of Sri Lanka to identify the problems of people’s food security, right to food, nutritional needs as well as safe food systems.
This was a great opportunity to engage with various stakeholders and foster collaborative efforts for food security and building a sustainable future in Sir Lanka.
