The workshop to present the results and accountability of the project “Safeguarding Street Vendors for Sustainable Democratic Governance” to project partners was held at Maharagama National Institute of Education. The program which was held for two days (2024.11.07 – 08) was attended by the members of the street vending associations all over the island. Accordingly, members of the street vendors associations of Badulla, Vavuniya, Karaveddi, Bandarawela, Ella, Haputale, Balangoda, and Wadduwa areas and officials selected for the national collective also participated.

Saliya Perera (Public Health Inspector, Dehiwala – Mount Lavinia MC), Mr. Roy Jecob Wijesooriya (Public Health Inspector, Haputhale UC), Mr. A. M. N. Attanayaka, (Development Officer, Ella Pradeshiya Sabawa) contributed to the workshp as resource persons.
Representing The Asia Foundation to observe the workshop Mrs. Anuradhi Perera (Senior Program Officer), Mrs. Darshanee Abeykoon (Program Manager) also joined. FIAN Sri Lanka Executive Director Mr. Thilak Kariyawasam, President Mr. S. Vishwalingam, Program Manager Mr. Asanka Ratnayake, Food Program Specialist Mr. Fazly Mohammad, Provincial Coordinator Mr. H. A. C.
