After the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, the two-day staff briefing workshop on the inauguration and future plans of FIAN Sri Lanka and Lanka Organic Agricultural Movement organizations was held on April 18 and 19 at LOADI Grove – Organic Agriculture / Agroecology Research and Training Center, Mattegoda. On the first day Mr. Suranjan Kodithuvakku, President Green Movement of Sri Lanka, gave the guest speech. Also Mr. Thilak Kariyawasam, Executive Director of FIAN and Chairman of LOAM explained about the future program plans and measures to be taken by the two organizations. Also FIAN Sri Lanka President and LOAM Administrative Manager Mr. S. Viswalingam, Program Manager Mr. Asanka Rathnayake, Food Program Specialist Mr. Fazly Mohammad, LOAM Special Project Director Mr. Ajantha Palihavadana, Social Media Consultant Mr. Kalyananda Perera, Mr. Wasantha Pushpakumara of National NGO Action Front and Mr. Avendra Silva, owner of Mattegoda Training Center joined it & Presented their views.
